History

The story of BarrelQ is quite simple. In 2013, TV presenter Onno Vos from Rotterdam tried to make a barbecue from an empty 200 liter barrel in his spare time. He received the barrels from his father's company, which is engaged in the sale of petroleum products. Little by little, he built several BarrelQ grills for his friends. Then it all started. The production went as well as possible in his free time and Onno started selling his handmade barbecues. Not only that, he even ordered an advertisement, which was bought by one Huub Sparnaay after seeing the barbecue. He liked the barbecue and soon contacted Onno and offered to invest in the business. To make everything go as smoothly as possible, Huub invited another professional - Gerben Bierbooms. Gerben is an experienced international marketer and marketer, so BarrelQ quickly spread around the world. In 2017, the Dutch added Lithuania to their development map.

What makes BarrelQ special?

No, the guys at BarrelQ didn't invent the barrel barbecue. It was invented a long time ago. From the US came barrels that were converted into smokehouses. Just on the sides there were openings for rods on which fish and meat could be hung. But this is a smokehouse, not a barbecue. The Dutch noticed 3 things that made BarrelQ so desirable to barbecue lovers around the world:

1. The barbecue should be burning throughout the party - it's a great heater and light source.
2. When there is no table, you can eat directly from the extinguished grill.
3. The grill must be individual - with the owner's name and logo. It should be colorful and eye-catching - it's a design element.

The Dutch didn't like cold iron or the color of rust, so they created a unique grill that everyone can customize to their needs.

One more point - if you don't need a large grill, a small one will do. Small 60-liter barrels are used for this.

You just need to choose the color you want, upload your logo, write the text and that's it - for an additional fee you will have your own personalized grill. Of course, companies that care about their image will want a professional design, but everything can be done as an amateur. Who needs it? Any bar, rural tourism homestead, event organizer would not refuse a barbecue with its logo and inscriptions. It's a fun design solution that can be carried from party to party. In addition, barbecues are sold with a special insert so that the trunk of the car and the people who will carry it do not get dirty.

BarrelQ is a barbeque for young people, because the communication and action around the barbeque is the key. It warms everyone who stops within a meter around. The fire burning in it illuminates a fairly large area. When the lid is closed, more than one plate or tray with food can fit on it, so there is no need for a table - the grill is a great place for a buffet.
